Erasmus+ internships at a marketing agency in Málaga
We take students all year, in ten different areas, and from any country. Before you read any further: we do not offer any payment for the placement, there is no minimum or maximum duration, and it can be done on site or online.

Why the first thing we put is what we do not offer
Because most internship pages do the opposite. They talk about talent and opportunity for five paragraphs and leave the unpaid part for the reply email, once you have already written a motivation letter. That is an ugly way to start a relationship with someone who is going to spend months here.
It is worth separating two things that get confused. We do not offer any payment for the placement — that is the part that depends on us. Whatever your institution or your programme gives you on its own, such as the Erasmus+ mobility grant, is a different matter and they handle it. Ask them, because in many cases it exists.
So it goes first. What we do offer is equally concrete: real client projects from the first week, somebody sitting next to you to ask, and work of your own that you can show afterwards. That is not nothing, but it is not money, and both things have to be said.
The ten areas we take people in
It is not a list of departments that sound good: it is what is inside the agency and what gets done every week. If your programme or degree fits one of these, it fits.
Digital marketing
Planning and measuring real client campaigns: local SEO, Google Ads, email and analytics.
Graphic design
Brand identity, social media pieces and print. Real brands, real deadlines and a client with opinions.
Web development
WordPress, WooCommerce and custom builds. Performance, accessibility and real deployments, not a local server nobody sees.
Sales
Prospecting, preparing proposals and following up in the CRM. Listening to real meetings before running any.
International trade
Clients outside Spain: documentation, intra-community invoicing and adapting communication to another market.
Administration
Invoicing, filing, suppliers and the daily running of the office. The part that holds everything else up.
Business administration
Project costing, margins, cash-flow forecasting and dashboards. Seeing a small company's numbers from the inside.
Artificial intelligence
Automations, chatbots and integrations with client systems. Here it gets built, not demonstrated.
Videography
Filming on location and in the office: script, light, sound and shooting. You leave with your own footage.
Video editing
Editing, colour, subtitles and versions per format. Vertical for social, horizontal for the web.
If yours sits between two — it happens often with design and video editing, or with administration and international trade — say so in the application and we will split it. Nobody spends three months here doing one single thing.
What a day here looks like
We are a small team in Alhaurín de la Torre. That has an uncomfortable side — there is no whole department behind you to cover a mistake — and a side that is exactly what you want from a placement: you see the entire job, from the client meeting to publication, not one isolated slice of the process.
The day starts by dividing up what has to go out. You have your own work, with a date and with somebody to ask when you get stuck. There are no filler tasks: if there is no load in your area one day, it goes to training or you join whatever somebody else is filming.
And yes, there is a lot of filming: a good share of client content is shot right here. These are three loose moments from an ordinary day.

We take students from any country
You do not need to study in Spain or hold a Spanish passport. Students from these five countries have done placements here so far, and the list is open:

- France
- Bulgaria
- Germany
And it is not decoration on this page: the photographs are of German students who did their placement here, and the videos are of Italian students. If you are coming from a country that is not on the list yet, that is not a problem either: what has to be sorted out is the agreement with your institution, and that is looked at case by case.
For coordinators and tutors
For coordinators and tutors
We sign the Learning Agreement for Traineeships before the placement starts, appoint a named company tutor rather than 'the team', complete your monitoring forms within your deadlines, and issue the Traineeship Certificate at the end with the real hours.
- Placement agreement
We sign whatever the institution brings; we have no model of our own to impose. We have done it with the regional government and with universities.
- A named company tutor
One specific person with a name, not «the team». They sign the monitoring forms and you can call them if something is wrong.
- Learning Agreement and certificate
For Erasmus+: we sign the Learning Agreement for Traineeships before the start and issue the Traineeship Certificate at the end, with the real hours.
- Monitoring and assessment
We complete your monitoring forms within your deadlines, not the week after. If the student is not delivering, we tell you as soon as it happens.
- Competency-based training plan
If the programme brings a training plan, the work is divided to cover it. If it does not, we send you the proposed tasks in writing.
- Student insurance and safety
The insurance is provided by the institution, as the agreement states. On our side, the workplace safety information is handed over on day one.
The only thing we ask for is time: give us notice. A placement arranged two days in advance always goes badly, because there is no time to prepare access, equipment or the work that person will actually do in their first week.

What you take away when you finish
Work of your own that you can show: campaigns that launched, pieces that were published, code that is in production, videos that somebody's customers watched. That is what actually gets looked at afterwards, far more than the mark you got.
And a realistic idea of what you want to do. Some people arrived convinced they wanted to run social media and left wanting to edit video, and the other way round. Finding that out in time is worth more than any certificate.
The photograph is from a team dinner. We are not putting it there to sell a great atmosphere: we are putting it there because whoever comes on placement comes to the dinners too, and that says more about how we work than a paragraph about our values.
Where it is and how to get there
The on-site location is our office in Alhaurín de la Torre, Calle Limonar, 14. It is about twenty minutes from Málaga city and fifteen from the airport, and you can get here on public transport without a car, which is usually the first worry for anyone coming from abroad.
By bus from Málaga
The metropolitan transport consortium runs two Bus-Metro lines built for exactly this: the M-169, which connects with the Puerta Blanca metro station, and the M-170, which connects with Barbarela. There are also conventional lines between Málaga and Alhaurín de la Torre: M-132, M-133 and M-135.
From the airport
The M-169 connects with the airport's Cercanías stop, so you can get here without going through the centre of Málaga. That is the comfortable route on the day you land with a suitcase.
By car
About twenty minutes from Málaga city and fifteen from the airport. There is street parking, with no paid zone.

They change with the season, so check them the same day at ctmam.es rather than trusting what this page says a year from now.
On accommodation we will not pretend: we have no housing and no arrangement with any residence. Almost everyone who has come from abroad has stayed in Málaga city or in Alhaurín itself, and the online option exists precisely for people who cannot move. How to apply
- 1Fill in the form below. With your institution, your programme, the dates and the area that interests you. If the dates are not fixed yet, say so: it is not a problem for starting a conversation.
- 2We reply and we talk. A short video call, or a coffee if you are nearby. It is not an exam: it is checking whether what you want to do matches what there is.
- 3We close it with your institution. Agreement, company tutor, hours and start date. We handle this part directly with your tutor.
- 4First day. With your desk ready, your logins and a real task. You do not start by reading manuals for a week.
Frequently asked questions
Do you pay for the placement?
We do not offer any payment for the placement, and we would rather say so on the first screen than leave it for the interview. Whatever help your institution or your programme gives you is a separate matter — Erasmus+ mobility grants, for instance, are handled by your institution, not by us — and it is worth asking them about it.
Can the placement be done remotely?
Yes, and people have done the whole thing that way. On-site depends on there being a free desk; online does not. If you are coming from outside Málaga and not relocating, online is the realistic answer.
How long should it last?
Whatever your institution requires. We have had one-month placements and full-year placements. What we do ask is to know the end date from the start, because it decides what you can be given: a three-month project does not go to somebody leaving in three weeks.
Is there a chance of a job afterwards?
Sometimes, and we never promise it in advance. We are a small team and hiring depends on there being work to sustain it, not on how much effort you put in. If it happens we will talk about it; if not, we do not want you to have done the placement expecting it.
What do you need from my institution?
The placement agreement, the name of your academic tutor, the dates and the total hours, and the training plan if your programme has one. With that we appoint the company tutor and fix the start date.
Do you take students from outside Spain, including Erasmus+?
Yes, and you do not need to be studying here. So far we have had students from Spain, Italy, France, Bulgaria and Germany. For Erasmus+ we sign the Learning Agreement for Traineeships, appoint a company tutor, do the monitoring and issue the Traineeship Certificate at the end. Where is the office and how do I get there without a car?
In Alhaurín de la Torre, about twenty minutes from Málaga city and fifteen from the airport. From Málaga you have the Bus-Metro lines M-169 (connecting with the metro at Puerta Blanca) and M-170 (at Barbarela), plus the conventional M-132, M-133 and M-135. The M-169 also connects with the airport's Cercanías stop. Timetables change with the season: check them at ctmam.es.
What hours are they?
Morning or afternoon, whichever suits your institution and you. It is agreed before the agreement is signed and it does not change halfway through, because a shifting timetable is what makes a placement end badly.
Do I need to speak Spanish?
For an on-site placement it helps a great deal, because the team works in Spanish and the clients are Spanish. That said, we have had people with limited Spanish working in development, video editing and design, where the language load is lower. For marketing, sales and client-facing work you do need to manage.
