Start with the free thing

Before anyone sells you SEO, your Google Business Profile should be finished. It costs nothing, it takes an afternoon, and in a local business it moves the phone faster than anything on your website: correct primary category, real opening hours, every service listed one by one, photographs you took yourself, and a reply to every review.

On this coast there is one extra step almost nobody takes: the profile description can be written in more than one language, and Google shows the one that matches the searcher. If a good share of your customers are British, Finnish or German residents, that single change separates you from every competitor on your street.

The three parts, and which one you need

  • Local SEO

Appearing in the map and in the three-result pack when somebody searches near you. Profile, reviews, categories, photographs and consistency between what the profile says and what the site says. Fastest to move the phone if you have premises.

  • Technical SEO

Making sure Google can read and understand the site: speed, structure, internal linking, structured data, and one page per service instead of everything on one. Invisible to your customer and the reason the rest works or does not.

  • Content SEO

Writing what your customer searches for before they are ready to buy. The slowest part and the one that lasts: an article that ranks keeps bringing customers three years later, for nothing.

Almost nobody needs all three from month one, and anyone selling you all three from month one is selling you hours. We start with whichever is holding you back.

Searching in another language is the open goal

«Marketing agency Marbella», «english speaking dentist Fuengirola», «Ferienwohnung Mijas mieten». These searches happen every day on this coast, they carry very high intent, and the competition for them is a fraction of the Spanish equivalent, because almost every local business only has a Spanish site.

Winning them is not glamorous work: one URL per language, hreflang, and honest translation of the pages that sell. But it is the cheapest growth available to a Costa del Sol business right now, and we would rather point at it than pretend the answer is always more advertising.

Questions we get asked

How long before it works?

First movement in three to six months, which is why the minimum term is six. Your Google Business Profile moves faster than that — often within weeks — and it is free, so that is where we start.

Can I rank in Málaga if my business is not registered there?

In the normal search results, yes. In the map pack, no: Google requires a real address with someone attending it. If you have premises here we work them; if you do not, we will tell you and go after the searches you can actually win.

Do you guarantee first position?

No, and neither can anyone else. What we do guarantee is that you will see your position every month and that we will tell you in month two if it is not moving, rather than stretching it out to month six.

Does SEO still matter now that people ask AI?

It matters more, oddly. Assistants quote the pages they can read and understand, so structured content, clear facts and a fast site are exactly what gets you cited. We already appear in that kind of conversational search, and it came from the same work.

You can do a lot of this yourself, and saying so costs us work. The full method is written up in Spanish in our local SEO guide, and the Spanish version of this page is at posicionamiento SEO en Málaga.

We will tell you where you stand, free

We look at your searches, your Google profile and your site, and tell you what is holding you back. In writing, in English, with no obligation and no hundred-page report nobody reads.
